Minimalistic Countdown Timer App Reviews

Half perfect

It is too bad... there is a lack of 2 key functions: - No "clock" mode = too bad. Clocks are some times also used as implicit timers when a deadline time is given in a meeting - worst thing: when you switch apps for 2 seconds and come back to it, count down has stopped and all goes back to setting timing which is making the app almost unusable on the long run (or makes your phone unusable for the time of timer) The rest of it makes it a perfect app...

Not minimalist

The purchase display made it look like you could have a minute count without the distracting seconds count. But I can see no way to set this up. The last thing I want while giving a presentation is to have the seconds count flying by!

Best timer yet!

Exactly what I was looking for! I spent over 15 mins searching for a good timer to alert a speaker when he is about to go over his talk/part at the Kingdom Hall. The numbers are HUGE, and the best part is the giant red screen saying "times up." Thank you for an awesome app that I will use on a regular basis.

Simple and useful

Excellent App, simple and useful!

What you Would expect...

In the Most Simple and Nice Way Perfect!

Doesnt work on iOS 7

Do not buy until it gets iOS 7 compatibility.

Good start, but work still needed

I’ve tested dozens of timer apps for use in professional tradeshow and conference settings, and this one is better than most. But work still needs to be done before it’s good enough to use in the field: 1. A 3-second start-up splash screen with the app’s title and logo. Really? 2. No support for switching from landscape to portrait. Half of the app ONLY runs in landscape and the other half ONLY runs in portrait. Really? 3. There MUST be an option to have the app start counting UP when the timer is done -- rather than just resetting or displaying a “time’s up” message. Speakers must be able to see how far they’re going over time -- so the count-up upon timeout feature is critical.

Love this app!!!

I am a preacher and speaker. I have used every countdown timer app in the store for keeping my sermons and speeches on track. Minimalistic Countdown Timer is by far the BEST!!! It is easy to use, big display for easy viewing and a bright red background when its time to stop talking. I also use this app in meetings to keep them on track.

Sounds

If I paid for an app I'd expect some selection different but this only has the default bell sound. Additionally the volume is so low even when paired to a Bluetooth speaker it is not loud at all.

Update crashes on launch

I LOVED this app, but the new update crashes on launch, on an iPad 2 running iOS 9. Update: after a couple times deleting and reinstalling the app, it’s back to the timer I love! Just wish it went longer than 99 mins.
